Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Dong Nai province to inspect the implementation of policies for workers in local industrial zones on October 28.
On the occasion, the PM visited RoK-funded Taekwang Vina Industrial Joint Stock Company, which is specialised in manufacturing Nike shoes in the Dong Nai province.

The Government leader also visited the kindergarten for workers’ children as well as the health clinic, boarding houses, supermarket and the canteen for workers. He enjoyed the dinner with workers at the TaeKwang Vina company.
Meeting with over 300 workers, representing those who are working in industrial zones in Dong Nai, PM Phuc listened to the employees' thoughts, aspirations and suggestions.
Speaking at the meeting, the PM was delighted at the initial significant changes of workers in Dong Nai after 18 months since his dialogue with them. Specifically, employees’ salaries have been ensured; their material and spiritual lives have been improved; the relationship between employers and workers has been harmonised.
The Government leader asked the agencies and enterprises to continue to improve the workers’ lives as well as pay much attention to create conditions by which they will be able to learn new technology to increase labour productivity and the products’ quality.
Regarding housing for workers, PM Phuc said that the Government would release policies on tax and budget support to build apartment blocks and individual apartments for employees who are working at industrial zones.
He stressed that the solutions should ensure cultural and entertainment activities for employees, including boosting film screenings, tours to famous destinations around the country.
In addition, the State will continue to set out policies to improve the worker’s salaries in order to meet the living conditions of workers while ensuring investment environment, added the PM.
During the visit, the PM presented five scholarships worth VND54 million to five workers who are stuyding at universities and colleges in regards to skill improvement as well as granting two laptops to an outstanding employee and a worker with disabilities.
