(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) Friendship Association on Friday organized a ceremony to celebrate the 4348th anniversary of RoK’s National Foundation Day.
The ceremony was attended by RoK’s Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Park Noh-wan, along with leaders from the departments and sectors, students of universities in Bien Hoa city and representatives of RoK’s enterprises in Dong Nai province.
According to Pham Minh Dao, Director of Department of Agriculture and rural development and Chairman of Vietnam-RoK Friendship Association of Dong Nai province, Vietnam and RoK, in general, and Dong Nai and Gyeongnam provinces, in particular, have so far set up 20 years of diplomatic relationship as well as sustainable cooperation in various fields, especially in economic and culture.
Dong Nai is now home to 282 RoK-invested projects capitalized US$5.62 billion. In addition, South Korean businesses have actively contributed to social security programs, promoting the relationship between enterprises with local authorities and people.
For his part, Korean Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Park Noh-wan thanked the province’s leaders and people in Dong Nai for their love and interest in celebrating the 4348th anniversary of RoK’s National Foundation Day, adding that RoK’s enterprises are willing to provide their support to the province’s authorities and people in social activities, aiming to promote the bilateral friendship between the two countries.
On this occasion, Dong Nai province’s Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) Friendship Association donated VND50 million to the province’s Study Promotion Fund to award 50 scholarships to poor students.
