(ĐN) –The Vietnam-Japn Friendship Association in Dong Nai held its first congress for the 2016-2021 tenure on August 16. The event was attended by Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hoa Hiep and Consul-General of Japan in HCM City.
The Congress elected the executive board and Director Pham Van Sang of the provincial Department of Science and Technology as chairman of the association.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep said that the association’s foundation will help boost ties between the two countries.
The congress also set forth activities to intensify cooperation between Vietnamese and Japanese people, organize cultural exchange activities as well as further strengthen cooperation with Japanese partners across health care, education and socio-culture.
