(ĐN)- Dong Nai Committee for Religious Affairs on July 20 held a get-together with Catholic dignitaries to inform the province’s socio-economic situation in the first half of 2016 as well as listen to opinions of Catholic followers in the province.

According to the committee, religious activities in the province were active, various but basically pure. The religions have actively joined the election of deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure, contributing to the success of the provinces election campaign. At the same time, they have actively took art in social charitable activities to support the poor, and people affected by natural calamities.
During the get-together, some participating priests raised their opinions on the province’s planning and compensation for people in the project affected areas, and suggested the local authorities for consideration, satisfactory response of their petitions for construction of religious projects.
