1. The 10th Dong Nai province’s Party Committee Congress for the 2015 - 2020 tenure was successfully organized with high rate of young, female members elected to attend executive committee members.

2. Xuan Loc and Long Khanh are the first district and township in the country that were granted certificates of “new rural district” by the Prime Minister at the beginning this year. Thong Nhat district won the status at the end this year. Meanwhile, Long Thanh and Nhon Trach districts met the criteria for the recognition as “new rural district”, helping Dong Nai become the locality that leads the country in new rural area construction and receive first-class Labor Medal.

3. Dong Nai is one of the leading localities in the country in foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2015 with the total capital of US$2.42 billion.

4. Dong Nai boosted administration reform at the province’s localities, departments, sectors, helping the province rank fourth in the list of provincial-level public administration reform index 2015 announced by Ministry of Home Affairs. Dong Nai has now 11 localities, 6 department s and sectors that have implemented one-stop-shop mechanism in administration procedures, creating favorable condition for local people and businesses.

5. The construction project of Long Thanh International Airport was approved by a National Assembly at 13th National Assembly's (NA) ninth session. The Long Thanh International Airport will be an important one in the country. It is expected to reduce the load on the neighbouring Tan Son Nhat Airport in HCM City, and will become an international entrepot of the region. The airport has an annual capacity of 100 million passengers and 5 million tonnes of freight.

6. New Dong Nai General Hospital was inaugurated and put into operation. The hospital comprises 1,400 beds and is equipped with modern equipment and transferred new treatment techniques, contributing to bring the province’s sector to new height in takeing care of local people’s health.

7. Dong Nai province’s transport infrastructure is being invested with the aim to connect the province with southern economic hub, including the inauguration of Ho Chi Minh City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway, construction of prolonged road 319 and intersection of HCM City-Long Thanh-Dau Giay expressway, construction of the Phuoc Khanh Cable Stayed Bridge crossing Long Tau River which connects Nhon Trach district with Ho Chi Minh City’s Can Gio district, and construction of the An Hao Bridge which links Bien Hoa Industrial Park with Hiep Hoa Isle in Bien Hoa city.

8. Dong Nai Department of Sciences and Technology spent its utmost efforts in prevention of petrol cheating by stations. In 2015, many inspections were carried out and officials found price violations at 61 petrol stations and fined more than VND6.4 billion.
