President Truong Tan Sang on December 2 hosted a reception for Jang Byong Gyu , head of the Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

At the meeting, the President spoke highly of cooperation outcomes between the DPRK Supreme Public Prosecutors’ Office and the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam.

The leader noted his wish that the two sides would work harder to actualise their commitments and agreements, thus elevating relations between the two sectors and countries.

The Vietnamese Party and State will create optimal conditions for the two agencies to strengthen their coordination, he promised.

President Truong Tan Sang suggested the DPRK officials raise proposals to diversify the two sides’ cooperation programmes.

Jang Byong Gyu wished Vietnam more achievements, and early fulfillment of its industrialisation and modernisation goals.

He highlighted the exchange of high-ranking delegations and the signing of a range of cooperation agreements, which have helped advance the two countries’ relationship.

The guest pledged to do his utmost to promote the traditional friendship between the two countries and peoples.

The official used the occasion to inform his host about his country’s socio-economic situation and its future course of development.

He also voiced his thanks for the Vietnamese people’s support for the DPRK during its national construction.
