Dong Nai province: 25 million arrivals of people salute on weekly Monday morning

A meeting has been organized by the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee to review 10 years of implementation of saluting on weekly Monday mornings.

The provincial People’s Committee on August 29th, 2005 issued a document on the implementation of flag salute ceremony on weekly Monday morning and required all agencies and units in the province to implement. 

 Dong Nai is the first province in the country to issue the document and perform the rite. Over the past 10 years, 480 flag salute ceremonies have been organized across the province. On average, each flag salute ceremony on weekly Monday morning has around 50,000 attendees. Over the past 10 years, there have been about 25 million attendees. 

From 2012 until now, flag salute ceremonies on weekly Monday mornings have associated with the campaign “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's moral example”. The flag salute ceremony contributes to educating and raising awareness of discipline, pride of nation, patriotism and consciousness to honor revolutionary achievements. 

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri asked the flag salute ceremony continues to be implemented in private enterprises, foreign direct investment enterprises, cultural urban areas, cultural village, and new style rural areas. 

On this occasion, 95 collectives and 43 individuals were presented certificates of merit by the provincial People’s Committee./.
