The event was attended by Vice Secretary of Dong Nai Party’s Committee Phan Thi My Thanh and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh.

Over 2 years of operation, DNUFO has set up three friendship organizations of Vietnam-Thailand, Vietnam-Cambodia and Vietnam-Laos and it continues to establish additional friendship organizations with RoK, Russia and Japan.
DNUFO has so far carried out 9 programs, projects and 11 non-project assistance funds mobilized from non-governmental organizations totaling VND18 billion. It has disbursed more than US$ 8.9 billion to build houses for ethnic minorities families in Dinh Quan district, present bicycles to disadvantaged children in Tan Phu district, etc.
Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh highly appreciated achievements made by DNUFO, contributing to the province’s socio-economic development. He also suggested that, in the coming time, DNUFO will focus on improving professional skills for its staff; continue to boost relations with international organizations with the aim to enhance friendship ties, promote activities in mobilizing financial sources from foreign countries, contributing to improve local people’s lives and develop the province’s socio-economy.
