The event, organised by the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee, saw the participation of Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh and Deputy Secretary Phan Thi My Thanh of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman Tran Van Tu of the People’s Council and former leaders.
Addressing the event, Mr Tran Van Tu reviewed the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People’s Public Security, saying that under the leadership of the Vietnamese Party, the police force together with the national army and people reaped glorious achievements over the past seven decades.
He also stressed efforts to raise the public security force’s responsibilities in implementing their missions and people’s awareness of the implementation of the movement “People protecting national security.”
On this occasion, nine individuals received the third class National Defense Medals, 10 others were granted the medal “For the cause of national construction and defense”, and 13 collectives were awarded certificates of merit by Ministry of Public Security.
