Long Khanh town marks 40th liberation anniversary

(ĐN)- A solemn ceremony was held on Tuesday in Long Khanh town to mark the town’s 40th anniversary of liberation (March 21 1975 – March 21 2015). 

The ceremony was attended by leaders from Dong Nai and neighboring provinces, senior revolutionary contributors, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and large number of local people.

At the event, Long Khanh town’s Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Nai reviewed the locality’s revolutionary traditions and contributions to the general offensive to liberate southern Vietnam and reunify the country.

During 40 years after the liberation day, Long Khanh have obtained encouraging achievements in developing socio-economy. Accordingly, the town has become a spacious urban area, local people’s living conditions have been improved. Moreover, Long Khanh was the first town in the country to be recognized as “new rural district”.
