Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made this statement on August 4 during a meeting with the provincial Party Committee (PPC). The meeting was to inspect the implementation of Party resolution No.4 on “some urgent Party building issues" and the Politburo directive No.3 on “promoting studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example.”
Praising efforts made by the PCC during its implementation of Resolution No.4 and Directive No.3, Deputy PM Phuc urged the province to continue promoting its achievements and surmounting weaknesses and shortcomings to create an enviroment for improved Party building work and socio-economic development.
He asked the officials to immediately address conclusions drawn from the criticism process, especially those relating to pressing issues which have raised public concern, and to develop programmes and plans to review implementation at the grass-roots level.
He also urged the PPC to enhance ideological and political training for officers and Party members and to ensure strict adherence to communications policies to create a strong consensus in the Party and to consolidate people’s trust in the Party and State.
