(ĐN)- Together with local people, the Hoa (ethnic Chinese) community in Dong Nai has expressed their annoyance about China’s recent act of placing the Haiyang Shiyou-981 oil rig in Vietnam’s waters and shown their support for the Party and State’s consistent stance in the issue.
Tong Van Son, a member of Hoa community in Phu Vinh commune, said that he wants China to remove the drilling rig out of Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf, and Chinese ships to stop ramming against and firing water cannons at Vietnamese coast guard and fisheries surveillance force vessels.
Over the past days, local authorities publicized the situation of East Sea to Hoa community to help them gain a clear understanding of the Party and State’s viewpoint on resolutely safeguarding the country’s independence and territorial integrity. The Hoa people are also asked to keep themselves alert and join the fight against the distorted allegations of hostile forces.
