(ĐN)- Trang Bom district on Tuesday held solemn ceremony to receive the First Class Labor Medal awarded by the State President and celebrate its 10th founding anniversary.

Over the past 10 years, the district has recorded great achievements in economic development.Accordingly, the district reported an annual economic growth rate of over 15 percent. Trang Bom is one of the province’s leading localities in attracting FDI with the total registered capital of US$1.3 billion.

Moreover, the district has created jobs for over 30,000 laborers, while improving people’s living standards, ensuring social welfare and assuring political security, social order and safety. The rate of poor households in the district has also fallen remarkably, with 1.25 percent of the total households.

Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of the Provincial People’s Committee highly praised the achievements made by the district over the past years.

He also asked the district to uphold the tradition of the heroic locality and continue efforts to develop economic, culture, education, take care of the poor and beneficiary families, keep good job in people and religious policies as well as create attractive environment to attract investors, improve people’s living standards, ensure social welfare and assure political security, social order and safety.
