Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai extended best wishes to Bishop Nguyen Chu Trinh of the Xuan Loc diocese as well as Catholic dignitaries and followers across the province, wishing them a peaceful and happy Christmas.
He briefed the Bishop on the province's socio-economic achievements, focusing on the high economic growth, adding that the province’s gained achievements have positive contribution of the Catholic people.
Thai also expressed his hope that Catholic dignitaries and followers will continue to uphold the patriotic tradition, develop with the nation and make practical contributions in national construction and defence.
He also called on Catholic people in the province to join hands to make Dong Nai basically a modern – oriented industrialized province by 2015.
Bishop Nguyen Chu Trinh thanked the provincial authorities for their care and pledged to encourage Catholic believers to further contribute to the nation and the religion.
On the occasion, the delegation visited and extended Christmas wishes to the Xuan Loc Saint Joseph’s Grand Seminary.
