PM receives Armenia ambassador

Vietnam will do its utmost to promote mutually beneficial cooperation with Armenia, PM Nguyen Tan Dung told Ambassador Raisan Vardanyan in Hanoi on December 25.

At a reception for the newly accredited diplomat, Dung appreciated Armenia’s opening of its embassy in Hanoi, contributing to deepening bilateral ties.

He thanked Armenia for providing valuable support to Vietnam during its past struggle for national independence and current cause of national construction.

He voiced his support for Vardanyan’s new office term in Vietnam to increase the two countries’ cooperation, especially in economics, trade, education and training.

The PM proposed establishing a Vietnam-Armenia inter-governmental committee to direct bilateral cooperation, and said Vietnam is considering opening its embassy in Armenia.

For her part, Vardanyan vowed to work hard to boost Armenia-Vietnam cooperation in all areas, including economics, trade and investment.

She reiterated Armenia’s consistent policy of attaching importance to developing ties with Vietnam and the opening of its embassy in Hanoi has testified to this.

She expressed hope the inter-governmental committee will be established and Vietnam will open its embassy in Armenia soon.
