President Sang welcomed the ninth visit to Viet Nam by the Governor, saying that this trip would contribute to promoting the comprehensive ties between Viet Nam and Australia.

He thanked the Australian guest for her contributions to Viet Nam, especially in the health sector.

Viet Nam and Australia had a lot of potential for co-operation in many fields, he said.

The President asked the Australian state to help Viet Nam's agriculture industry, especially with employing processing technology to produce high-quality agricultural products.

For her part, Governor Bashir said the increasing number of Vietnamese officials and students coming to Australia for study offered an opportunity to strengthen relations in the health sector.

The Governor stressed Viet Nam's contributions to regional and global food security, saying that after her visit, she would work with relevant agencies of New South Wales to promote co-operation with Viet Nam in the application of science-technology to food production.
