The VFF President, who is also a Politburo member and Deputy Prime Minister, said the friendship between the two countries has served as a strong foundation for co-operation in many areas, including that between their mass organisations and trade unions.

He suggested that the VFF and the Singaporean People’s Association increase the frequency of delegation exchanges and share experience on environmental protection, building cultural life in residential areas and protecting the rights of labourers working in industrial parks.

Ang Hak Seng briefed his host on the outcomes of talks between his delegation and the VFF Central Committee.

The two sides held frank discussions on building methods for new rural areas and civilised urban areas.
