Bulgarian President begins State visit to Vietnam

Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev arrived in Hanoi on October 27, beginning his five-day State visit to Vietnam from October 27-31.

 The visit, which is made at the invitation of Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, is expected to boost the friendship and co-operation between the two countries.

The Bulgarian President is accompanied by Bulgarian Ambassador to Vietnam Evgeni Stoychev, Chief Secretary of the President's office Ekaterina Zaharieva, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Angel Velichkov, President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences Stefan Vodenicharov, Director General for the Bulgarian News Agency Maksim Minchev among others.

Bulgaria was one of the first ten countries in the world establishing diplomatic ties with Vietnam in 1950 which was the beginning of the traditional friendship and long-term co-operation of the both sides.
