Committee on population development, social policies established

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung recently signed Decision No. 1568/QD-TTg to establish a Steering Committee to develop a scheme on population development, labour, training, family and social policies for the country’s sustainable development to 2050.

Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan is appointed Head of the Steering Committee, together with five deputy heads and nine other members, who are representatives from relevant ministries and agencies.

The Steering Committee will review the implementation and outcomes of current policies on population, labour, training, family and society, make suggestions, adjustments and supplements to those policies to develop the country sustainably to 2050, and develop a scheme on population development, labour, training, family and social policies for the country’s sustainable development to 2050.
