Vietnam’s ties with Japan to be enhanced

Vietnam wants to further cooperate with Japan, especially in strategic breakthroughs such as completing the market economic mechanism, high quality human resources development and synchronous development of infrastructure, science and technology.

Vietnam wants to further cooperate with Japan, especially in strategic breakthroughs such as completing the market economic mechanism, high quality human resources development and synchronous development of infrastructure, science and technology.

Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee To Huy Rua made these comments during his meeting with former Prime Minister of Japan Yukio Hatoyama, in Hanoi on June 19.

Hatoyama said that in his new position as the President of the East Asian Community Research Institute, he will continue paying attention to and contributing to the development of bilateral relations as well as focusing on co-operation with Vietnam in science and technology.

On the day, Hatoyama attended a seminar on current and future Vietnam-Japan scientific and technological co-operation in Hanoi to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
