Authorities of Dak Nong and Dak Lak provinces in Vietnam’s Central Highlands and their neighbouring Cambodian province of Mondulkiri have met in a friendship exchange to enhance ties.

During the exchange, which took place in Dak Nong province on January 28, participants recalled the time-honoured friendship between the two countries and affirmed peaceful cooperation is a valuable asset for both sides’ peoples.

Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People’s Committee Le Dien said his province is willing to assist Mondulkiri as much as it can and will work closely in ensuring the demarcation and planting of markers along the common border as well as security in border areas.

Chairman of the Mondulkiri People’s Council En Bud Hien appreciated the support from the two Vietnamese provinces, saying Mondulkiri always nurtures the solidarity and cooperation in diplomacy, socio-economic development, national security and defense with these provinces.

Dak Nong, Dak Lak and Mondulkiri share a border line of over 200 km.
