The National Assembly (NA) concluded its third session on June 21 with the adoption of laws and decisions on socio-economic issues of voter concern.

During the one-month session, the legislative body discussed and passed 13 laws and a number of resolutions.
The last day of the session saw the approval of three laws, including the Advertising Law, the amended Law on Water Resources and the Law of the Sea.
NA deputies also endorsed several resolutions, including a resolution on taxation measures to help remove difficulties for businesses and individuals.
In his closing ceremony, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung affirmed the session has been successful.
The NA asked the Government and all sectors to continue implementing necessary measures and mobilizing all resources to fulfill socio-economic tasks for the year 2012 and the targets set by NA resolutions.
He underlined the need to carry out economic restructuring and finalized mechanisms for managing capital resources and assets in State groups and corporations.
Mr Hung said the Government and relevant agencies should pay attention to helping businesses have access to credit capital and develop new markets, adding that they need to have roadmaps for fighting the monopoly in the electricity and coal sectors, address problems on land management and prevent wastefulness in land use.
The Chairman asked relevant sectors and agencies to ensure the implementation of NA resolutions and NA deputies to arrange meetings promptly to report the session’s outcomes to voters nationwide and listen to their complaints.
During the session, NA deputies also debated six other draft laws and many issues of public concern and questioned several cabinet members.
