(ĐN)- On Feb 13, French Consul-General in HCM city Fabrice Mauries paid a courtesy visit to Dong Nai province ‘s leaders on the occasion of the start of his term of office in the city. Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of People’s Committee (P.C) warmly welcomed the consul general.

At the reception, Dong Nai P.C Chairman briefed his guest on the province’s social and economic development and FDI attraction. Accordingly, Dong Nai has so far attracted nearly 1,000 foreign projects totaling approximately US$20 billion and France ranks 1st among European investors in the province. So far, 21 French projects have been licensed in Dong Nai with a total investment of around US$160 million. Over the past years, Dong Nai has signed long-term cooperation memorandums of understanding with the French regions of Rhône-Alpes and Bretagne.
French Consul-General thanked Dong Nai’s authorities for willing to assist foreign investors and create favorable conditions for them to do business effectively in the province. He also pledged to encourage more French enterprises to expand their operations to the province in the coming time.
