National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung has affirmed that the Vietnamese legislative body will continue assisting Danish Ambassador Jonh Nielsen during his working term in Vietnam.
At a reception for the Danish Ambassador in Hanoi on Dec. 29, Hung said he hopes the two countries will continue boosting cooperation in economics, trade, investment, defence – security, culture, education, especially in climate change, environment, energy and green growth, in the near future.
The two legislative bodies need to work more closely to ensure efficiency in cooperative projects between the two Governments, Hung said.
Hung said that the Vietnamese NA hails the official visit to Vietnam by the Chairman of the Danish Parliament early next year, adding he believes the visit will actively contribute to further strengthening the two countries’ friendship in general and the two legislative bodies’ cooperation in particular.
He said he hopes the diplomat will do his utmost to further deepen the two countries’ friendship during his term of office in Vietnam.
Ambassador Nielsen said that the Danish Government will continue providing official development assistance to Vietnam to help it in the national development process.
The diplomat said he hopes the Vietnamese NA will continue facilitate the two countries’ cooperative programmes on public administration and administrative reform, thus promoting cooperative projects for the benefits of both sides.
