Provincial leader welcomes Malaysian Consul General to HCMC

(ĐN)- Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh received Malaysian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Shazryll Zahiran in Dong Nai on November 15.

At the reception, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh briefed his guest on the province’s social and economic development. Currently, Malaysia has some 390 investment projects in Vietnam with a total registered capital of about US$ 19 billion, of which, 29 projects capitalised at more than US$938.3 million are operating in Dong Nai province. Thanh also said that the province will focus on developing rapidly and strongly the infrastructure, developing human resourses and increasing investment in science-technology in the coming years in order to enhance the competitiveness of Dong Nai and to attract more FDI inflows.

For his part, Mr. Shazryll Zahiran expressed his sincere thanks and appreciations to the provincial leaders for creating favorable conditions for Malaysian businesses to invest in the province and promised to encourage more Malaysian businesses to expand their operations to the province in the coming time. The Malaysian diplomat also expressed his hope that the provincial authorities will create favorable conditions to speed up Nhon Trach New City Center project and Bien Hoa City Square project invested by Malaysian Berjaya Group.
