Prime Minister arrives in Japan

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived in Tokyo in the afternoon of October 30, beginning an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung arrived in Tokyo in the afternoon of October 30, beginning an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda.

During the visit, Dung expects to discuss with Japanese leaders measures to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields and seek concrete commitments in implementing the strategic cooperation between the two countries.

In an informal meeting with the Embassy staff and the overseas Vietnamese, Prime Minister Dung praised the efforts by Vietnamese representative missions and overseas Vietnamese to promote the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Japan.

He presented certificates of merit to the Embassy and Ambassador Nguyen Phu Binh in recognition of their role in rescuing Vietnamese citizens in Japan following the earthquake and tsunami in March./.
