The PM praised the Vietnamese community for their solidarity to share difficulties with others living and working in the country of residence.

The community has not only contributed to preserving Vietnam’s cultural tradition, customs and religions but also established good relations with local authorities, he said.

More than 10,000 Vietnamese people who are living and working in Ukraine have served as a bridge between the two countries.

Mr. Dung affirmed the Party and State policy of considering overseas Vietnamese as an inseparable part of the nation and creating favourable conditions for them to visit the homeland and seek business and investment cooperation in localities.

The PM urged the Embassy staff to promote economic diplomacy with a main focus on trade and investment and help the two countries’ businesses involved in tourism and education projects.

The Vietnamese community in Ukraine should unite to overcome difficultiesand stabilize their lives.

The same day, the PM attended the opening of the Rainbow Commercial Centre invested by Vietnamese businesses. He also worked with the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs Anatoliy Mohylyov.

He was scheduled to meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarnov, President Viktor Yanukovych and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin on October 5.
