Vocational College No.8 celebrates 20th anniversary

(ĐN) – The Vocational College No.8 under the Ministry of Defence recently held a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its establishment and  receive the 3rd grade Military Medal.

(ĐN) – The Vocational College No.8 under the Ministry of Defence recently held a solemn ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its establishment and  receive the 3rd grade Military Medal. Attending the event were Lieutenant-general Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai.

The original name of the school was the Motorcycle Club under the Infantry Officers’ Training College No 2. The Vocational College No.8 bec omes the key school of the Ministry of Defence that offers vocational training for minority ethnic students and demobilized soldiers in the Southeast region and Central Highland. A new school named Nguyen Van Troi school was brought into operation in Dong Nai province on March 8, 2011 by the Vocational College No.8. Its new school provides education to students from primary, middle and high school. So far, the Vocational College No.8 has provided free job training courses to thousands of minority ethnic students and demobilized soldiers in Dong Nai province.

Speaking at the celebration ceremony, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai praised the achivements made by the school over the past 20 years.

Also at the event, five individuals of the school received certificates of merit from the Provincial People’s Committee for their active contributions to the development to the school over the past 20 years.
