People’s Court celebrates 65th anniversary

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Provincial People’s Court recently held a ceremony to mark the 66th anniversary of the judiciary sector (Sept. 13) and its 36th founding anniversary in the province.

(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Provincial People’s Court recently held a ceremony to mark the 66th anniversary of the judiciary sector (Sept. 13) and its 36th founding anniversary in the province. Also present at the event were Huynh Thi Nga, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council and Tran Van Co, Chief Judge of the Court of Appeal at the Ho Chi Minh City Supreme People's Court.

Since its establishment in 1975, the Provincial People’s Court has always fulfilled the tasks assigned to it by the Party and the State, contributing to promote socio-economic development in the province as well as maintain political stability and social order and safety. The Provincial People’s Court has been presented with many certificates of merit and emulation flags from the Provincial People’s Committee and the Supreme People's Court as well as honoured with mnay notable titles.

Addressing at the ceremony, both Mrs. Nga and Mr. Tran Van Co praised the achievements of the province’s judicial sector over the past 36 years and they also underlined the need to improve the quality of trials to minimise the number of rejected cases and ensure that verdicts are implemented within the law.

Also at the ceremony, ten individuals of the Provincial People’s Court were awarded campaign medal “For the cause of legal protection” of the Supreme People's Procuracy.
