(ĐN)- A delegation led by Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF) Huynh Dam paid a working visit to Dong Nai on Sept 19. The delegation was warmly received by Secretary and Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh and Le Hong Phuong, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front’s Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Huynh Thi Nga.
At the working session, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri briefed the delegation on the socio-economic development situation of Dong Nai over the past nine months. Accordingly, the province will continue to concentrate on implementing the Government’s Resolution 11 on major solutions to curb inflation, stabilise the macro economy and ensure social security.
Over the past time, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee has made efforts in fulfilling its political tasks, contributing to the implementation of provincial socio-economic tasks, maintaining the political security and social safety and order. Particularly, the "Day for the Poor" campaign, the mobilization "the entire people unite to build the cultural life", and the program "Vietnamese give priority to using Vietnamese goods”, launched by the VFFCC, have received positive respond from local people and got the encouraging results. During the first nine months, the provincial Fund for the Poor raised nearly VND53 billion to assist poor people.
Addressing at the working session, Chairman Huynh Dam highly appreciated efforts made by Dong Nai provincial Party and people over the past time. He hoped that Dong Nai will continue to promote the strength of great national unity and implement effectively the VFFCC’s movements.
