(ĐN)- A woman has died and another woman has been hospitalized with serious injury following a collision with two trucks on the national highway 20 in Dinh Quan district’s Phu Ngoc commune, Dong Nai province on April 29. The highway was closed for almost two hours for collision re-construction.
Police said a truck heading Da Lat city, for unknown reasons, collided with another truck heading in the opposite direction and then ran straight into a motorcycle travelling in the same direction just before 1 pm.
The 25-year-old woman, rider of the motorcycle died at the scene and a pillion passenger being equal age to her, suffered a serious injury.
A few minitues later, a truck transporting cement bags landed upside-down at milepost 107km on the national highway 20 in Dinh Quan district’s Phu Ngoc commune after the driver lost control while travelling to Da Lat city. Fortunately, the driver of truck escaped from the upturned vehicle and sustained slight injuries.
The crashes are under investigation.
