Provincial leaders congratulate Buddhist followers on Buddha’s birthday

(ĐN)- The Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front has sent best wishes to Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers on the occasion of the 2,555th birthday of Buddha

In a letter to Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers, the provincial leaders highly valued the contributions made by the Buddhist followers to the local socio-economic development in 2010 and the first months of 2011. They also praised  the Buddhist followers for their valuable contributions to poverty reduction efforts and charity work in province. The provincial leaders took this opportunity to call on Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers to materialize their guiding principles of religious tenets, nationality and socialism, live a well-blended religious and secular life, as well as actively engage in patriotic emulations, contributing to fulfill socio-economic tasks for 2011.

Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Bui Ngoc Thanh extends congratulations from the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee to the provincial Buddhist Sangha.

On this occasion, a delegation from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee led by Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Bui Ngoc Thanh visited the Executive committee of the provincial Buddhist Sangha on May 14. Mrs. Bui Ngoc Thanh extended congratulations from the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee to Buddhist monks and nuns and followers.  Thanh also said she hoped that dignitaries of the provincial Buddhist Sangha would continue to encourage followers to lead a comfortable and enjoyable life, contributing to the sustainable development of the province.

Superior Buddhist monk Thich Minh Chanh, Head of the Executive committee of the provincial Buddhist Sangha thanked the provincial authorities for their help and support over the past time and pledged that they would continue to encourage followers to make active contributions to the province’s socio-economic development.
