According to the report, Dong Nai made an impressive achievement of bringing down road crashes in 2010. Particularly, 988 traffic accidents occurred in Dong Nai during the year 2010, killing 332 people and injuring 1,287 others, showing a decrease of 234 cases in the number of road accidents, a reduction of 69 people in deaths and 351 people in injures when compared to 2009. 22 per cent of road accidents were caused by car drivers, while nearly 70 per cent were by motorbike riders and other transportation means.
Dong Nai traffic police imposed over VND176.6 billion fines on nearly 687,000 cases of violations during the past year.
