Meeting to celebrate 66th anniversary of Vietnam People’s Army

(ĐN)- A meeting to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Viet Nam People’s Army and the 21th anniversary of the All-People’s Defence Day was held in Dong Nai on December 21.

The meeting was attended by Major-General Phung The Quang, Deputy Commander of Military Zone 7, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and more than 300 delegates from across the province.

Over 300 delegates attend meeting to mark 66th anniversary of Vietnam Peoples Army.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Vo Van Mot reviewed the history of the Vietnam People’s Army over the past 66 years and affirmed that in the new situation, the army would continue to develop and fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party and people and protect the national territorial integrity.

Upholding the army’s glorious traditions, Mr. Mot said the province’s armed forces vow to train regularly, increase their combative spirit and establish close links between national defence and people’s security to lay a firm foundation for prosperous development in both the province and the country.
