(ĐN)- Tan Phu district War Veterans’ Association has just held a meeting to review its activities over the past ten years.
From 2001 until now, the association helped 833 households escape poverty, mobilized nearly VND1.9 billion to build 194 charity houses to poor families.
The association and its grassroots agencies also provided loans over VND16 billion to more than 1,000 member households to develop production. Accordingly, three private enterprises, forty-eight farms and three cooperatives were established and created jobs for more than 1,800 members and their children.
