(ĐN)- Vinh Cuu district organised a solemn meeting on April 26 to celebrate 35 years of its liberation. The celebration saw the participation of Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, representatives of agencies and departments, heroic mothers, heroes of the armed forces, veterans together with local people.

In his speech, Chairman of the district’s People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Ly reviewed the glorious revolutionary traditions of people in Vinh Cuu in the two resistance wars against French and US aggressions. He also highlighted socio-economic achievements that Vinh Cuu has made over the past 35 years.
35 years after its liberation, the district has recorded rapid and stable economic growth through the shifting of its economic structure towards industrialisation and modernization. Vinh Cuu has maintained an annual economic growth rate between 7 and 7.5 percent during recent years.
Attendants at the ceremony had an exchange talk with veterans who participated in the liberation of Vinh Cuu district.
