Hoang Bao Han, a resident of Ho Nai 3 commune in Trang Bom district, was admitted to hospital on April 2, but later died from dengue-shock syndrome.
Cases of dengue fever in Dong Nai have significantly declined in the first three months of this year compared to the same period last year. However, there has been a rise in fatal cases being reported in the province.
By the end of March this year, there were almost 350 petechial fever patients recorded with two death cases occurring in Dong Nai. Cases of the fever were on the rise in Bien Hoa city, Thong Nhat, Vinh Cuu, and Xuan Loc districts.
