(ĐN) – Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association on Wednesday launched a blood donation campaign to mark Voluntary Blood Donation Day (April 7).
The Association said that the province plans to launch campaigns for blood donation and aims to collect 16,000 units of blood this year in order to provide enough blood for the treatment of patients in the province. A total of 14,548 units of blood were collected in the province last year, of which, 3,600 units have been collected through the summer blood donation campaign launched by the provincial Red Cross Association.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee and the provincial Red Cross Association awarded certificates of merit to 81 collectives and 105 individuals who actively participated in humanitarian blood donation campaigns. Especially, 3 collectives and 5 individuals received the certificates of merit from the Vietnam Red Cross Association.
