
(ĐN)- In the morning of August 31, Provincial Steering Board for Organisation of Important Anniversaries held a ground-breaking ceremony for War Zone D’s ecological, cultural and historical site at Ma Da commune, Vinh Cuu district.

The ceremony saw the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong, Chairman of the HCM City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan, Secretary of Dong Nai province’s Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Tran The Vuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Phuong, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, leaders of agencies and local people.
Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Secretary Tran Dinh Thanh stressed that the project has an important meaning not only to Dong Nai but also to South Eastern region. It will be a library and museum of the D base and relics and a welcoming place for exhibitions and events to celebrate our cultural and artistic traditions. Therefore, the center have to be built with its own design to attract the domestic and foreign tourists and become the ideal destination for the people.
The project is built on an area of 15.7 hectare in Ma Da commune by Dong Nai Industrial Civil Construction Company No.1 and is expected to complete in 12 months.
Various activities were also organized in the province to mark the country’s 63rd anniversary of National Day. Accordingly, about 310 youth members in Dong Nai attended a camping festival entitled “Dong Nai youth- Returning to the roots” organized by the Provincial Youth Union.
