The Governor of the State Bank visits Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Secretary of the Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai received Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Giau in Dong Nai last week.

(ĐN)- Secretary of the Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai received Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Van Giau in Dong Nai last week.

At the reception, the Governor of the State Bank said that although the inflation index was going down in June, the average consumer price is increasing in July due to the impact of higher petrol and diesel prices. The Governor suggested that the provincial government should set the major tasks for the remaining months of the year, with a focus on curbing inflation, ensuring social welfare, boosting agricultural production and rural development and increasing exports.

Before that, the Governor had met with leaders of the Provincial Branch of the State Bank of Vietnam and Dong Nai based commercial banks. He had requested banks follow the instructions of the Government and principle of the Banking sector in order to reach the set target.
