5th Dong Nai Newspaper Children Football Cup opened

(ĐN)- This morning, August 14,  the 5^th Dong Nai Newspaper Children Football Cup is opened at Dong Nai’s Sporting Hall. This is a traditional event held each year in the summer by Dong Nai Newspaper and Dong Nai Department of Sports and Physical.

The 2007 Cup attracted 11 best teams from the provincial districts of Thong Nhat, Tan Phu, Cam My, Xuan Loc, Vinh Cuu, Trang Bom, Long Thanh, Dinh Quan,  Long Khanh town, and Bien Hoa city. The teams, divided into 4 groups, will play in a round-robin league in the first round. The top two teams of each group will compete in the second round, with the winners going into the next round. The final round will take place on August 21, 2007.

The Organization Board will award Cup, flags, medals and prize money for top three teams. The first prize will be VND6 million, the second prize VND4 million, and VND2 million for the third prize. Besides, many other awards will be given for the most outstanding footballer, the best goalkeeper, excellent referee and the player who scores the most goals during the 2007 Dong Nai Newspaper Cup.

Today, Thong Nhat team competes with Bien Hoa team in the group A while Xuan Loc team against Tan Phu in group B.
