The second Advanced Symbolic Cooperatives Conference organized

(ĐN)- Lately, the second Advanced Symbolic Cooperatives Conference was held at the meeting hall of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee with the attendance of President of the Viet Nam Cooperatives Alliance Nguyen Tien Quan, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and nearly 200 representatives from cooperatives and people credit funds in the province.

(ĐN)- Lately, the second Advanced Symbolic Cooperatives Conference was held at the meeting hall of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee with the attendance of President of the Viet Nam Cooperatives Alliance Nguyen Tien Quan, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee and nearly 200 representatives from cooperatives and people credit funds in the province.

 

Until now, 156 cooperatives have been set up in Dong Nai with total charter capital of over VND 189.6 billion and 30,689 members. They include 30 advanced symbolic cooperatives and 70 good cooperatives. Besides, the market cooperatives, environmental sanitation service cooperatives, and agricultural service cooperatives were also built and developed in Dong Nai. Most of the cooperatives have operated effectively in the past time. The cooperatives have created stable jobs for 5,571 local people with average monthly income of VND1.5 million.

 

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairwoman Huynh Thi Nga stressed that more efforts should be made by Dong Nai province’s Co-operative Alliance to increase number of advanced symbolic cooperatives, develop new models of housing and medical cooperatives in accordance with the province’s socio-economic development conditions. 

 

On this occasion, 24 collectives and 47 individuals were awarded certificates of merit for their contributions to the construction and development of the cooperative. At the conference, 5 representatives were selected to participate in the third National Advanced Symbolic Cooperatives Conference to be held in Ha Noi by the end of 2007.
