Sacombank receives nations best bank award

The Sai Gon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank) has been selected for the "Best bank-Viet Nam 2007" award by the UKs Euromoney magazine.

The awarding ceremony will be held in Hong Kong on July 17.

Sacombank is one of the most profitable commercial banks in Viet Nam. The bank posted a record earning before tax of 610 billion VND in the first half of 2007, more than twofold over the corresponding period last year.

Sacombank is the only Vietnamese bank to receive the award this year.
