Donagamex awarded third-class Independence Medal

(ĐN)- In the morning of July 7, at the meeting hall of Dinh Quan district’s People’s Committee, Dong Nai Garment Joint Stock Company (Donagamex) held a solemn ceremony to receive the third-class Independence Medal and open the Dinh Quan Garment Factory.

(ĐN)- In the morning of July 7, at the meeting hall of Dinh Quan district’s People’s Committee, Dong Nai Garment Joint Stock Company (Donagamex) held a solemn ceremony to receive the third-class Independence Medal and open the Dinh Quan Garment Factory. Attending the ceremony were Standing Vice Minister of Industry Bui Xuan Khu, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Mot, General Director of the Viet Nam Textile and Garment Corp (Vinatex) Vu Duc Giang.

 

Donagamex has made incessant efforts to maintain high growth rate during the past years. Particularly, it invested to innovate technology, expand production and improve product quality to be able to compete more effectively in the global market. Over the recent six years (2001-2006), the company achieved an annual average growth rate of 19 percent, annual turnover of VND128 billion-VND253 billion. The company provided stable jobs for more than 3,000 laborers, with average monthly income of over VND 1.8 million. Presently, Donagamex has 10 garment factories with a total capacity of more than 5.6 million products per year. Its turnover is estimated to be over VND400 billion in 2007. The company’s main export markets include Japan, US, Europe, Australia, Korea, etc .

 

As known, Dinh Quan Garment Factory, with a total investment capital of more than 20 billion, is home to 800 workers. It is expected to reach turnover of around VND 80 billion this year. The factory’s product will be exported to the Europe and US.

 

On this occasion, Chairman Vo Van Mot awarded 3rd Labor Medals to General Director of Donagamex Bui The Kich and Director of Garment Factory No 2 Nguyen Thi Hong.
