According to the reports, the local people pleased with the province’s encouraging achievements in socio-economic development in the first six months. Particularly, the 12th National Assembly election was a great success with 99.91 percent of voters in Dong Nai cast their ballots for the election. The high school final exam 2007 was held strictly in Dong Nai so as to assess the true quality of education and grant the graduation certificates to pupils who have sufficient conditions for passing. Especially, the Department made all efforts to call on cadres, Party members, civil servants and people to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals. Accordingly, the movement received the support of all people. However, to achieve higher effectiveness, more efforts should be made by the Party’s offices and organizations in propaganda activities to create greater awareness among Party members and general public about the basic content and values of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought regarding virtue, according to the Department.

On this occasion, Departments of Propaganda and Training of the provincial Party Committee and Long Thanh district’s Party Committee have been appraised as excellent units by the provincial People’s Committee. Besides, 19 units and 12 individuals were also awarded certificates of merit for their outstanding contributions to patriotic emulation movement in 2006.
