Bien Hoa City People’s Council holds the 8th session

(ĐN)- The eighth session of Bien Hoa City People’s Council was opened yesterday morning (December 26) in Bien Hoa. On the opening day of the session, the Council firstly focused on reviewing and evaluating the implementation of its plans for socio-economic development, national defence and security of the city and the implementation of State budget tasks in 2006 as well as tasks and solutions for 2007.

(ĐN)- The eighth session of Bien Hoa City People’s Council was opened yesterday morning (December 26) in Bien Hoa. On the opening day of the session, the Council firstly focused on reviewing and evaluating the implementation of its plans for socio-economic development, national defence and security of the city and the implementation of State budget tasks in 2006 as well as tasks and solutions for 2007.

According to the city’s report on the socio-economic situation in 2006, Bien Hoa’s economy continued to grow at an estimated rate of 15.56%. Economic restructure was on the right track with industry-services-agriculture well combined. In 2006, income per capita per year in Bien Hoa reached US$ 1,982 and total budget collection of the city is estimated to achieve over VND 649 billion, an increase of 10 per cent over this year’s target.

During the session, the Council will discuss and approve resolutions on tasks and solutions for 2007. The city will strive to maintain a high growth rate in coming years towards sustainable economic development and the city’s government targets 15,5 - 16%  GDP growth in 2007. The delegates will also question the city People’s Committee on the city’s most critical issues.
