(ĐN)- In May 7, 2005, within the framework of a trip to Vietnam, Mrs. Merlle Ratner as the Co-President of the Board of Directors in the New York Marxism Research Institution in USA and also being a supporter of the case of Vietnamese dioxin victims paid a courtesy visit to the provincial leaders.

"I have the greatest respect for Ho Chi Minh President and sincerely adore him. He is not only the great leader of the Vietnamese people but also spreads his influence over the world." Mrs. Ratner said.
With regard to the lawsuit of the Vietnamese Dioxin Victicm Association to sue the relevant American Chemical companies for damages, many American people, particularly, American veterans who were affected by dioxin had vigorously supported this case. However, there were some American groups against it. Thus, she and other American people having their advanced ideas would support continuously the case with the following actions: explaining and mobilizing the regional groups in support of the case. She would come back Ha Noi after finishing her trip in Ho Chi Minh City. She would contact organizations and the Vietnamese Dioxin Victim Association in this place to collect further information and forward next work of VAORRC. She hoped that Vietnam would win the case as well as the Vietnamese dioxin victims would be compensated for damages by the American defendant. She added.
During the meeting between Mrs. Ratner and the provincial leaders, she also paid attention to the provincial education method how to cultivate the Marxism for the local youth. "Now, the New York Marxism Research Institution in USA is attracting a thousand of students to study this subject", she told.
