On the morning of November 2, along the road leading to the Base of the Eastern Nam Bo Regional Party Committee (Relic Site) (Ba Hao hamlet, Tri An commune), the Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve Management Board organized the “Green Track Run” in response to the International Day for Biosphere Reserves. The event drew over 320 participants, including officials, workers, and locals.

This year’s run included four race categories: a 2km run for men, a 1.5km run for men, a 1.5km run for women, and a 1km run for women.

According to the organizing board, the “Green Track Run” aims to raise community awareness about biodiversity conservation, encourage green lifestyles, and promote the participation of locals, schools, agencies, organizations, and businesses in conserving and promoting the heritage values of the Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve. It is also an opportunity to promote the image of the Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve as an ecological destination for environmental education, responsible tourism, and green livelihood initiatives.

With the message “Every step - A green commitment”, the event is held annually to make the “Green Track Run” a symbolic sports and environmental activity of the Dong Nai Biosphere Reserve. The run is not only a sporting event but also contributes to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At the event, the organizing board implemented green commitments, including limiting single-use plastic waste, setting up eco-friendly water stations, promoting waste sorting, respecting wildlife habitats, and ensuring safety and civility throughout the race.
