In previous years, Ngo Van Son made hundreds of gourd-shaped pomelos but has only a few scattered fruits this year because the number of orders has been so small.

A trader said this year, farmers sold pomelos very early because there are not many traders ordering for Tet as usual. Therefore, the prices of pomelos are lower than before.

Nguyen Van Khoa, owner of an over 2,000 square metre pomelo orchard in Vinh Hiep Hamlet, Tan Binh Commune, Vinh Cuu District, said he will sell the pomelos for Tet season in about 10 days.
