In the summer from April to August, the weather is mostly sunny, suitable for watching insects. The forest corner in Bong hamlet, located 20 km from the park’s gate, is a spot to view and take pictures of fireflies.

Established in 1962 and located 120 km south of Hanoi, Cuc Phuong Park covers 22,408 hectares of the Tam Diep mountain range, which spans over territory of three provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa. Cuc Phuong is an ideal eco-tourism destination thanks to its natural landscape and biodiversity.
